Religious Education

Growing in faith and living as Catholic Christians is a lifelong journey.  The religious formation of children begins with and is dependent on parents who are the primary educators of their children.  The Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) exists to assist, support and encourage parents in this awesome task.

St. Andrew's Religious Education serves nearly 225 elementary and middle school children who attend public school.  Volunteer catechists teach the classes that are held on Sunday mornings from 10:30 am until 11:45 am.

It is our hope that through our formal religious education program, the formation received at home and participation in Sunday Liturgy children will:

Grow in knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Faith

Celebrate their faith in the sacraments

Develop a personal relationship with Jesus

Become a follower of Jesus in their daily lives

Become a full participating member of the Church

Special programs have been designed to prepare children for the reception of Penance, Eucharist and Confirmation.
